Description & Details

Made in the well-known metalworking city of Tsubame, Japan, the cooking pot is made of Naroi, a combination of stainless steel and enamel coated cast iron. It took Hirondelle over two years and two thousand trials to develop this new type of metal, which has outstanding thermal conductivity and heat retention in addition to being rust resistant. Each pot takes more than a month to create and is the cumulative result of generations of skill. The company applied its expertise in producing precision components for aeronautics and medicine to the cooking industry. The result is that the pot’s lid and body forma tight seal, so food can be cooked without water, bringing out all the delicious flavours of the natural ingredients whilst keeping their nutritional value.

Care

Thanks to the special enamelled treatment of the surface, ingredients do not easily stick to the pot and clean-up is effortless. The pot does not require any time-consuming care to prevent rust due to the innovative stainless steel composition. The only thing to remember is to let the pot dry after each use.

Ideas for Use

Place cut vegetables in the pot over medium heat, close the lid and wait for just 10 minutes. Vegetable flavours and nutrients don't escape with dry-cooking and cooking vegetables slowly in their own juices makes them delicious. Bon appetit!
